    Description

    This is for an obsolete 1862 State of North Carolina from Raleigh.
    It has catalog number Criswell NC-83.  Do to the shortage of paper, the notes were printed on the backs of bills of exchange. Many of these notes you will see marked with a red oval "FUNDABLE" on the front of the bill.  This note does not have that detraction.
    Condition is a nice clean look with minor edge wear.  See pictures for close up review of condition.
