The Ballerina is produced in the Soviet Union, which supplies one-third of the palladium entering the world market each year and accounts for more than 60% of worlds mine production. The Ballerina is .999 pure palladium. With a denomination of 25 rubles. Because of its short production period, the 1989 coin (first-year-of-issue) will be limited to 30,000 1 ounce coins, including 3,000 special collector proof strikes. The design of the ballerina on the revers of the coin will change every year, adding to the coin's appeal among collections and its numismatic value.
