The frame is original and shows just a little bit of wear, but is in very good and solid conditon. Note: Because of the glass frame I had to take the photos at an angle to avoid camera flashback. That said, there still appears some flashback, but there are absolutely no white spots in any part of the artwork.

There is a discription paper in a pocket on the back of the painting.  The side with the image of this painting says exactly the following:   "Last Mission Over Kiska  by Bob Fetterly.   The 13 February, 1943, mission to Kiska Harbor, Alaska, marked the end of the use of the B-17 in Alaska. The B-17's were redeployed to the South Pacific.  The B-17's had been used in Alaska against the Japanese forces in a reconnaissance and bombardment role early in 1942.  They were equipped with AVS whisker brooms search radar antennas.
The flip-side says exactly this:   B-17 prints    On July 28th, 1935 the B-17 prototype made her maiden flight from Boeing Field in Seattle.  To commemorate the Golden Anniversary of the first flight, Artists from the Boeing Company created a series of paintings documenting the history of this airplane.
